A Quote to live by
"Those who structure their standard of living to allow a little surplus, control their circumstances. Those who spend a little more than they earn are controlled by their circumstances. They are in bondage”
President N. Eldon Tanner "Constancy Amid Change," Ensign, Nov. 1979, 81
As we are making an effort to really focus on our spending and get out of debt this quote really struck me. I realize that it could apply to many other things in life as well. If you happen to be looking to get yourself out of debt I would recommend Dave Ramsey's The Total Money Makeover, check it out for yourself (you can probably find it at your local library as a way to start saving. :-) We are just getting started, but we are excited about our new adventure (the book is great too).

Sasha's Favorite Past Time
Sasha loves washing dishes, it has become a favorite past time of hers recently. She can often be found "washing dishes" in the kitchen sink. She will drag a chair over and climb up. The other day after I got Braden down for his nap, and went in to read to Sasha before her nap her sleeves were soaked, she had "cleaned up" lunch. Thanks for all of your help Sasha!
Too Tired To Eat?
I don't know about you, but have you ever been too tired to eat, but are so hungry that you keep eating in your sleep anyway? I've never had one of the kids fall asleep in their lunch or dinner before. We had been over at a friends house helping her get some things put together for a party, and the kids were playing, I guess that Braden was plum worn out. Because this is what lunch looked like. It was too adorable not to take a picture I thought, besides I had to show Brit.

Home Made
I got a little ambitious January 11th, I stayed home with a sick kiddo from church and decided that I was going to finally try out my pasta maker & one of the recipes from Sister Jesson's Italian cooking class.
apparently the kids LOVED it!
I gave home made bread sticks a try too!
It was a lot of fun, we had a great time!

3. The gift that you send to your 3 Friends can be from any price range and you have 365 days to make/ship your item. This means you should be willing to maintain your blog at least until you receive your gift and have shipped your gifts. And, remember: It’s the Spirit and the Thought That Count!
4. When you receive your gift, please feel free to blog about it, sharing appropriate Linky Love! If you are not one of the Top Three Commenters on this post, you can still play along. Go ahead and start your own Pay It Forward chain, and encourage your blogging friends to do the same!
