Sasha's Favorite Past Time

Sasha loves washing dishes, it has become a favorite past time of hers recently. She can often be found "washing dishes" in the kitchen sink. She will drag a chair over and climb up. The other day after I got Braden down for his nap, and went in to read to Sasha before her nap her sleeves were soaked, she had "cleaned up" lunch. Thanks for all of your help Sasha!

Too Tired To Eat?

I don't know about you, but have you ever been too tired to eat, but are so hungry that you keep eating in your sleep anyway? I've never had one of the kids fall asleep in their lunch or dinner before. We had been over at a friends house helping her get some things put together for a party, and the kids were playing, I guess that Braden was plum worn out. Because this is what lunch looked like. It was too adorable not to take a picture I thought, besides I had to show Brit.

I had fun turning Sasha's hair into "princess" hair, so we just had to take some pictures of the kids after church, they matched so well (unintentionally).Here is what I get for asking Sasha to open her eyes

Home Made

I got a little ambitious January 11th, I stayed home with a sick kiddo from church and decided that I was going to finally try out my pasta maker & one of the recipes from Sister Jesson's Italian cooking class.

apparently the kids LOVED it!

I gave home made bread sticks a try too!

It was a lot of fun, we had a great time!

Mom here is the couch, the slipcover still slips, but not nearly as much as it used to. Thank you so much for your help with getting this put together, I really enjoy it a lot more now.

Here is a collage of pictures from our December.

Sasha is making orange juice from oranges. Hilary's first time making homemade noodles. Braden has really curly hair. Braden and Sasha had their first rides on Grandpa's ATV. Braden decided that riding the little wagon was more fun than pulling anything along in it. Sasha fell asleep on the black leather chair in her room (when she was in her room for being bad). Braden is riding a little car toy while in the hospital on Christmas day. These are just some of the pictures of the kids that we enjoyed from these past few months.

SAVE HANDMADE

Today is CPSIA Blogging Day. Another big push to get the laws changed and prevent thousands of small business owners — artists and crafters making beautiful handmade items for children — from going under.

If you haven't heard about the controversy about this new bill read about it here and here.

This law was created with good intentions. Remember all of the toys from China that were recalled because of the lead in the paint? Well this is the knee-jerk reaction that congress came up with. To protect our kids, great, right? Unfortunately there are a multitude of problems associated with it. There are thousands of small, home-run, second-hand... businesses that will be going out of business, or unable to start-up due to the costs that will be required.
