Now, to continue our story of "Sasha and the green avocado"...
Sasha decided that if she pressed her lips together or chewed on her bottom lip, that we would be unable to get any more of that strange stuff passed her lips.
When that didn't work and after we decided Sasha had had enough avocado, she decided to brush the plate clean of all remaining green slimy stuff so that we would be unable to force any more of it into her mouth.
No, she is not pulling the spoon to her mouth, she is actually pushing it away!

We are going to try again soon, as we are now introducing, slowly, real food into her diet. Only one type of food per week. This week avocado...next week mexican! - just kidding - oatmeal cereal is the next thing on the list.

We love all of you guys and we'll keep the pictures flowing like milk and honey! we might even put more pictures of Hilary and Brit even though we both know that Sasha is the person you REALLY want to see. She really is the star of the show. Honestly, I don't have a picture of me on my desktop; it's all Sasha everyday! She's a hit! What more can I say!

Anywho, Halloween is just around the corner and we'll post all the new pictures soon!
Love you,
~Brit, Hilary, and Sasha

P.S. -- (insert sarcasm here) I know...you read this blog because of the articles! riiiiiiiiight.

...continued from below...and then continued above

...for some reason, unbeknownst to us all, this blog server would not let us to one REALLY BIG post so we had to split it in two. Sorry for the inconvenience of reading this, the second half of the post, first (unless, of course, you scroll down and read the first part first: then we apologize for the inconvenience of scrolling).

So, it's fall and the leaves have fallen. We found out that Sasha loves leaves. She loves to play with them and surprisingly enough, she did not try to eat them (which is funny because she usually tries to eat anything she can get her hands on). Hilary had a lot of fun outside with Sasha and the trees.

The true story is...Hilary was acually driving around looking for a good spot to take a picture and found this spot. She has no idea where it was and probably would never be able to find it again. This is Brit typing and I just found out right now that that is what really happened. So, that's our story and we're sticking to it.

Now for the really good stuff!!!
Sasha had her first taste of solid food..of all things, she got to taste...avocado!! (Brit says "yuck")
and guess what!! Sasha says "YUCK" - is it because she takes after her daddy? or becuase it just isn't quite the same as mommy's milk? (i.e. new texture, flavor, etc.) We here at the glad residence have differing opinions.
We put her in a garbage sack so that we could try to keep avocado off of all her clothes. She thought that was the coolest! as you can see from this first picture.

She had a very different expression once she got a taste of the avocado...

Please continue reading the next post which is above this one...

Exciting new things are happening here in Spokane!!

Well, Some great things have been going on up here in Spokane! First off...Sasha is the cutest little Glad-girl in town!!! (ok, so we're a little biased. Don't worry about it) - at this very moment, though, she is being a little grump and refusing to go down for a nap.

Sasha has a new favorite ride to go on. It's the mom/dad powered sliding moped! She thinks it is the greatest thing in the world and we're not sure we were very smart in inventing it because now she wants to ride it non-stop. Hilary gets really tired after a few hours of pulling Sasha around and around the front room.

She also started rolling around last week. However, she seems to have forgotten how to do it or else she decided it wasn't quite enough. So, she is back to just getting upset when she can't go where she wants because she would much rather walk (which just isn't happening right now for her). Hilary took Sasha out to the conservatory at a park nearby. It was just too much excitement for Sasha to handle...

we will continue this post on the next post (if that makes any sense whatsoever)... ... ...

Here is the newest photo of Sasha. Since she has now recovered from a bout with chicken-pox, we were able to take her outside and into public. We went as a family to Green Bluff. There they have a huge pumpkin patch where we got to walk around and pick our pumpkin right off the vine (unless we wanted one out of the bin).

I think we'll have to get Sasha some sunglasses of her own. She got a little bit of sun that day but no sunburn this time around.

Sasha is now 5 1/2 months old. The pumpkin we got is almost as big is she is, it's about as big as Brit's head anyway. We had a lot of fun that day as it turned out to be the last day of good weather. It was good to get away from the lawschool for half a day. This trip made it so Brit only spent half the day in the library.

We think Sasha might be on the verge of teething. She's been awful cranky lately. We'll let you know of any pearls that break the surface.

Until next post...

Just getting started

Brit, Hilary, and little Sasha Glad

This is a test run. We are currently under major construction. This is sort of a test run.

Sasha gets cuter and cuter every picture that we take
