Here is the picture of Sasha eating the hotdog that she loved so much. We were absolutely amazed at the fact that she almost ate the entire thing.

Sasha got a swing for her birthday and she is in love with it. It has become almost a daily activity for us now. We just hung it from the patio of our upstairs naeighbor. It is so nice now that the weather is getting warmer - warm enough that we can play outside.

Sasha is the love of our life and we cherish her dearly.
I really don't have a ton to say right now. I am sitting in my Constitutional Law class. We should be reviewing but for some reason we are covering some new material that will not even be on the exam. So, needless to say, it is very difficult to pay attention right now. Our final is on tuesday, so I don't understand why we are doing this and not reviewing.
Well...good luck to me.

She's officially WALKING!!!!

Sasha has taken the "step" into the land of two legged movement. She is officially walking now. There is no slowing her down. She decided to start walking all the way across the room and right on down the hall. Then she turned around and came back the same way, all while holding her favorite little stuffed giraffe. She has been apparantly taking lessons from Frankenstein because she walks just like him.
She also is starting to eat a lot more. We let her try a hot dog (actually one of those polish sausages) and she liked it so much that she nearly ate the entire thing! I think she must be hitting a growth spurt again. We shall see. We are excited for her birthday coming up in a week. We'll put up more pictures (obviously). This one was taken while sitting in Daddy's lap (mind you, Daddy took the picture)

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter holiday. JJ stayed with us for the weekend. Sasha loved her little presents. Hilary made a dress for Sasha that turned out to be very cute. Grandma and Grandpa A. gave Sasha some very colorful, foam blocks and she loved them. Although, she didn't quite know what to do with them.

The weather was nice, however, on monday it rained. That did not stop us from going to Coeur d'Alene for the afternoon. We even walked along the longest floating boardwalk in the world! Needless to say that Sasha fell asleep in my arms about half way across. It was really good to have JJ come visit. We miss everyone else who we haven't seen in a while. Sasha and Hilary will be visiting SLC for a week starting tuesday. I, however, will be studying for finals. Until next time.

Momentous Occasion

So the other night, after we fed Sasha, we let her play in the front room while we sat down to eat. Next thing I know, I look over and Sasha had found a nice cozy spot to snuggle up and go to sleep all by herself! She never does that - talk about fighting sleep when Mom and Dad are in the same room, lights are on, AND we have company (JJ was there with us). Sasha never ceases to amaze us. She is such a special, wonderful, beautiful, smart little precious girl. We love her dearly and she seems to like us back, at least a little bit anyway.

April, April, April ...

I can't believe it is April. FoolsDay came and went and no one even noticed ... at least up here because I was too busy with my research exam, which only took me about 3 days to complete. The biggest news we have is that Sasha took 5 steps the other day!!! It was amazing! She has been taking one or two steps lately on her own for a little while now. But after Monday's 5 step adventure, I think the end is near. Duh, duh, duuuhhh. As it is warming up (somewhat) we thought we would go to the park. Although, Sasha wasn't quite sure what to think of the swing or the slide. However, she definately liked it when it was all over.

For St. Patrick's Day, we went over to Coeur d'Alene and spent the day there among the locals. We went through the shops on the main street and stayed for their little half hour parade. It was actually quite a bit of fun. We also walked along the world's longest floating boardwalk! The lake there is beautiful! The chocolate was awesome! and it was a good relaxing day away from the law school monotony.

Sasha loved the parade! She was clapping for all the people and hooting along with everyone. It was so cute! They had a bunch of dogs in the parade and we got to see one of the great danes afterward. He stood about 3 1/2 ft. tall! maybe taller. He was monstrous! As you can see, his head was almost as big as Sasha.
We are doing well. I am trying to stay afloat in school while Hilary holds down the fort and Sasha gets in to everything. Things are good. I still don't have a job for the summer and things are starting to look pretty grim in that area, but I am doing what I can. We may end up staying here in Spokane if I don't find anything. I'll go volunteer somewhere and plan on passing the Patent Bar. We'll keep you posted.

only one excuse for a three week delay ...

Internet! Ok, my other excuse is time. Our internet is now the school network and I haven't had much time to spend on the internet doing anything other than studying. So, I apologize to you all for a three week delay. I will try my best to keep up with the weekly blogs. We have a ton of new pictures of Sasha that I know you are all dying to see. So, here you go. This is a picture post ... enjoy!

Just in the last few days, Sasha has learned how to point at things she wants and she has come to the understanding that that is a better way of communicating to us as to her needs.

The stroller is actually Ava's stroller that she got for her one year birthday, along with the teddy bear. Sasha got a real kick out of pushing it around.

Sasha got a new dress that I call her "Strawberry Shortcake" dress even though it is roses and not strawberries. She has gotten tons of compliments on it. (I think it's going to her head - at least it might be going to her parents' heads as to how cute she is)

Sasha has been standing up quite a bit lately, but still no official steps without holding on to something.

... And for all of you who thought I was bluffing last time when I said that the dairy reaction did not seem to bother her - this picture proves how happy she was even though she was covered in a rash.
Until next time, hopefully next week.

Ok, ok, I know it has been almost two whole weeks since our last contact with this blog. My only excuse is that School has been pretty crazy lately (and I'm not talking about frat parties). I have been absolutely swamped with homework and papers and job searching and intramural basketball (losing I might add - yeah, we're 0-4 [we thought that we could handle the C-league, you know with A-league being the best teams. Maybe next year we'll have to drop down to the bottom, the D-league and then maybe we could win a game...I guess there is a reason I wrestled during basketball season]). That and we simply don't get on the internet much at home and the school network will not allow me to upload pictures onto the blog because of some filter crap or something. I don't know. At any rate, here we are...and here are a few more pictures of the cutest little "Squash" in the world. Thaaaaat's right. We call her Squash.

This is an old picture from Christmas time with Sasha and her Great Granddad Edwards (Brit's mom's dad). She didn't know what to think of the old guy at first but she quickly warmed up to him, as you can see.

This next picture is a little more recent (January). This is when we found out that Sasha doesn't handle yogurt very well. The poor thing broke out in hives all over her body. Fortunately, they didn't seem to bother her much as she was still a fairly happy baby that night, as she usually is.

This is Sasha's "Little People" farm that she got for Christmas. This is what came out of the box before we put her in the box to take pictures. It makes all sorts of animal sounds and she loves it!

If you think this next picture looks like she is walking, well, you are right! She hasn't taken steps yet on her own but as long as she can hold onto something, she can walk for days. She pushes her high chair (currently a low chair) all around the front room and just sort of giggles the entire time. It is so cute! She is so much fun! She is becoming more and more rambunctious (maybe it's becuase daddy likes to rough-house with her ... I dunno). She now has 6 teeth; another one came in on top.

What can I say...we love having her around!

Latest News!

It's amazing! We actually have had above freezing temperatures that last few days! And everyday this week it is supposed to be above 40 degrees! Look out! It is definately global warming just like those scientists are saying. What are we going to do? I guess it's time to pull out the shorts and short sleeves because we won't need those parkas anymore! Yeah!

Anyway, back to reality...things are good up here in the great city of Spokane, WA.
In sports: Brit's intramural basketball team is hoping to get their first "W" tomorrow. Currently, they are 0-2. It's not looking so good for the old men lawschool students (who spend their days sitting down in the library 10 hrs a day) going up against all those in-shape undergraduates (who also play soccer and run around way too much!). Hopefully, we can make a shot this week.

Infant news: Sasha got another tooth on the top. That's number 5 in total, 3rd one on top. Lately she has been letting go of whatever she might be holding onto to while standing and then she'll just stand there for awhile. Her balance is improving so much. We think she'll be taking steps within the month.
Quick update: Hilary has been feeling better from her bug, whatever it was. Brit is still plugging away at school. Sasha is loving to crawl everywhere, and loving to pull all the books off the shelf. She is becoming more and more active and energetic each day as well. She just can't sit still (especially at church!). She loves it when you lay on the ground so she can climb over you and then back again. That is so much fun for her.
In other news: we have a ward activity coming up that is going to be the bomb! Only because we are helping to put it together! It is going to be a ward fair, with games and prizes and more! You all are invited, although, I don't expect to see any of you guys there (it'd be a very long drive for a 2hr activity where you knew three people - and one of those three can't even talk yet!)
Well, our time is up... This is Brit, Hilary, and Sasha reporting to you LIVE from Spokane, WA. Back to you, Bob.

More Christmas photos

Here are some more pictures from Christmas time that I'm sure you all are anxious to see. Sasha opened her very first Christmas present and she didn't quite know what to think. She got PJs to match mommy and daddy's new PJs that were also in the box.

Sasha really loved the holidays. She loved ripping off the wrapping paper and eating it too!
We are getting back in to the swing of things now. Brit has been back in school for a couple of weeks. It was a slow start but things are on the upside now. Both Sasha and Hilary got colds, so our house has not been the most guest-welcome home in the last week or so. But, things seem to be getting a little better now.

Sasha also had a third tooth come through...one on the top! We think she was pretty happy about that. We think that the reason she doesn't smile as much lately is because she is playing with her teeth with her tongue.
Here is a family photo! It was one of the best ones taken in which Sasha wasn't pulling some funny face.
Until next post...
P.S. sorry we didn't have any good stories to tell this time around. We'll think of a good one for next time.
Love you all,
Brit, Hilary, & Sasha

Happy New Year, everyone!!! This blog is back up and running. We've had some technical difficulties over the holidays but I think they are sorted out now. Sasha got two teeth over the christmas break so she got a new toothbrush! We got a ton of new pictures so stay tuned and we'll be sure to post as many as we can. It's a little fuzzy but Sasha discovered a new fun ride...on top of Daddy's shoulders!! She uses his ears as handholds for when things get a little bumpy.

We had a great time down in SLC for the three weeks that we were there. It was so great to see everyone! Sasha seemed to enjoy it as well. Check out those ROSY CHEEKS!! Even though she may have been a little cranky for some of you at times. Like I said before, these are just a few of the pictures that were taken during that time. We will be posting more momentarily so stay tuned!!

I think my personal favorite (Brit) is this next one. Sasha seemed to like the box a little more than the actual toy. One thing to note: the toy name, even though you can't see it in the picture is "Little People."
For those of you who may not have had the chance to see her, she is crawling around and getting into EVERYTHING now! And she is talking a lot more 'baby talk' as well.
Until next post, good luck on all your new year's resolutions. Don't give up after two weeks like the rest of the nation!
