We should be getting our camera back today or tomorrow. Boy, are we excited! I found a pic that is only about a month old but I thought it was appropriate to post. Sasha at dinner time. It is so awesome when the kids are old enough to feed themselves! She has great table manners, proper etiquette, and to top it all off ... she has perfect eye-hand to mouth coordination. As you can see in the following picture, she loves dinner time!

No Camera!!
So, for the last couple of weeks we have been without a camera because it went on the fritz. We sent it in to the manufacturer because it is still under warranty. Hopefully, we'll get it back sometime this week. So, needless to say, we have no pictures to post unless you want to see old ones. We'll just keep this one short for today.
Sasha got her first burn the other day. We were at a friend's house for a BBQ. Brit went outside to check on the chicken and somehow the screen door got opened up again after he went through. He did not know that Sasha was on his tail like a shadow. There were two BBQs because we had quite a few people there and one of them was a little portable propane grill. Sasha learned very quickly not to drum on the lid of the grill. We would have a picture of her hand, but as I said before, we can't take a picture of it right now. It turned her palm red, but nothing more. Fortunately, she was quick about it and didn't touch it for very long, otherwise she might have had some nasty blisters. Other than that, it was a great BBQ.
Father's Day was nice. Got some cookies from church. Hilary cooked her first pot roast in the crockpot and it was delicious. I am still having leftovers for lunch. I think its going to last all week long! Brit is spending lots of time writing a paper so that he can hopefully get on to Gonzaga's Journal of International Law. We shall see. The paper is going very slowly. We are excited to come down to SLC next week for Emy's wedding (Hilary's sister) and to see all the family. We probably won't have time to see everyone we would like to. So, sorry to you if we miss you.
Sasha's got some more teeth coming in. Some molars on the top and a couple on the bottom are thinking of coming in. Long story short: it's been a few long days and nights. Thank goodness for children's Tylenol!!!!!!
In all honesty, that is about all that is happening in our lives right now. We'll be sure to post any cool stories that come about, but as for now, we are not that cool. (Or I just can't remember the stories).
Oh, one more: Sasha ran into the wall yesterday so she has a nice scar on her cheek. Hopefully it is gone before the wedding pictures next week. If not, too bad for Emy.
Here's a shout out to the Brewers for setting up the Sugarhouse Ward blog. Loved it!! Loved seeing everyone on the Luau video. We wish we could have been there. Miss you all.

Sasha's one year (one month belated)
(Quick confession - I just made some formatting changes to the blog so the older posts may not look as organized. Things got shifted around a little becuase the width of the page has been changed. Just some minor bugs to fix. I only have one question ... Why is it that the preview looks nothing like what actually gets posted? It makes it difficult to post a blog that looks exactly like you want it to.) As you all know, Spring is here ... Brit has started sneezing every 10 minutes and the weather went from just thinking about warming up straight to 80+. And to top it all off, our church building has just recently completed some add-on construction but somehow they broke the air-conditioner. Needless to say, all the kids were very restless and grumpy at church because it was so hot. Anyway, can you believe it is June 2007? Seems like just yesterday was Y2K.
Here is one of my new favorite pictures of Sasha. She loves these glasses. Unfortunately, she broke the temple right off. I tried to fix it with some JB-Weld but that didn't last very long. Too bad, she would walk around the house for hours with those things on.
A week or two ago we had her one-year portraits taken and we just got some of the digital (low-res) prints. We can't wait for the real ones to come so we can frame them and put them on our walls!

(Disclaimer: these are copyrighted but the company gave us permission to post these low-res pics. Anyone can order the real ones stright from the com
pany)
We just think she is the cutest little thing in the world! Her hair is starting to get long in the back. She has so much character and spunk. She is very quick to figure things out and loves, loves, loves to read. We are so grateful to have her in our home and as part of our family. She is truly a blessing and brings so much joy into our lives.

May 29th: Finals are now over and have been for a couple of weeks. Brit took a week off because he was sick (we think it was the "after-finals-meltdown") and then went right back to school to start studying for the Patent Bar. This summer is the goal to pass that exam. Our camera stopped working so we had to send it in to the manufacturer (it's still under warranty). That means we are without a camera right now. But we do have some pictures still that we can post. And as a matter of fact, we just went and had Sasha's one year photos taken (even though she is now 13 months old) yesterday on Memorial Day. You guys are going to love the pictures!!!
Memorial Day weekend was nice. Brit went on the Fathers-and-sons campout. Bishop told all the men that they are all sons whether they have sons of their own or not and that all were invited to go. So Brit did. The weather was fantastic! Lots of fishing, hotdogs and smores! Some friends of ours just bought some property (13 acres) and we went there to have a campfire and to see the property. Talk about a dream!!! We were definately envious of their property. They hope to start building their house within the year.
Other than that, things are the same. Brit still doing school related stuff. Hilary still watching Sasha and carrying the little one (Oh Yeah, for those of you who don't know ... we are having a boy in September!) I just realized that the last post was quite a while ago. Sorry about that. We'll try to keep up on it more. Sasha is getting faster and faster everyday. She likes to walk everywhere and is starting to try and climb on things. She keeps trying to get up on the couch or anything else she can see over. She is so much fun!!
I really don't know where this last one was taken...I was taking a test at the time but I sure thought it was cute!
We love you guys and miss you all.
Until next time ...

Here is the picture of Sasha eating the hotdog that she loved so much. We were absolutely amazed at the fact that she almost ate the entire thing.
I really don't have a ton to say right now. I am sitting in my Constitutional Law class. We should be reviewing but for some reason we are covering some new material that will not even be on the exam. So, needless to say, it is very difficult to pay attention right now. Our final is on tuesday, so I don't understand why we are doing this and not reviewing.
Well...good luck to me.

She's officially WALKING!!!!
Sasha has taken the "step" into the land of two legged movement. She is officially walking now. There is no slowing her down. She decided to start walking all the way across the room and right on down the hall. Then she turned around and came back the same way, all while holding her favorite little stuffed giraffe. She has been apparantly taking lessons from Frankenstein because she walks just like him.
She also is starting to eat a lot more. We let her try a hot dog (actually one of those polish sausages) and she liked it so much that she nearly ate the entire thing! I think she must be hitting a growth spurt again. We shall see. We are excited for her birthday coming up in a week. We'll put up more pictures (obviously).
This one was taken while sitting in Daddy's lap (mind you, Daddy took the picture)

Easter
We had a wonderful Easter holiday. JJ stayed with us for the weekend.
Sasha loved her little presents. Hilary made a dress for Sasha that turned out to be very cute. Grandma and Grandpa A. gave Sasha some very colorful, foam blocks and she loved them. Although, she didn't
quite know what to do with them.
The weather was nice, however, on monday it rained. That did not stop us from going to Coeur d'Alene for the afternoon. We even walked along the longest floating boardwalk in the world! Needless to say that Sasha fell asleep in my arms about half way across.
It was really good to have JJ come visit. We miss everyone else who we haven't seen in a while. Sasha and Hilary will be visiting SLC for a week starting tuesday. I, however, will be studying for finals. Until next time.

Momentous Occasion
So the other night, after we fed Sasha, we let her play in the front room while we sat down to eat. Next thing I know, I look over and Sasha had found a nice cozy spot to snuggle up and go to sleep all by herself! She never does that - talk about fighting sleep when Mom and Dad are in the same room, lights are on, AND we have company (JJ was there with us). Sasha never
ceases to amaze us. She is such a special, wonderful, beautiful, smart little precious girl. We love her dearly and she seems to like us back, at least a little bit anyway.

April, April, April ...
I can't believe it is April. FoolsDay came and went and
no one even noticed ... at least up here because I was too busy with my research exam, which only took me about 3 days to complete. The biggest news we have is that
Sasha took 5 steps the other day!!! It was amazing! She has been taking one or two steps lately on her own for a little while now. But after Monday's 5 step adventure, I think the end is near. Duh, duh, duuuhhh. As it is warming up (somewhat) we thought we would go to the park. Although, Sasha wasn't quite sure what to think of the swing or the slide.
However, she definately liked it when it was all over.
Sasha loved the parade! She was clapping for all the people
and hooting along with everyone. It was so cute! They had a bunch of dogs in the parade and we got to see one of the great danes afterward. He stood about 3 1/2 ft. tall! maybe taller. He was monstrous! As you can see, his head was almost as big as Sasha.
We are doing well. I am trying to stay afloat in school while Hilary holds down the fort and Sasha gets in to everything. Things are good. I still don't have a job for the summer and things are starting to look pretty grim in that area, but I am doing what I can. We may end up staying here in Spokane if I don't find anything. I'll go volunteer somewhere and plan on passing the Patent Bar. We'll keep you posted.
For St. Patrick's Day, we went over to Coeur d'Alene and spent the day there among the locals.
We went through the shops on the main street and stayed for their little half hour parade. It was actually quite a bit of fun. We also walked
along the world's longest floating boardwalk! The lake there is beautiful! The chocolate was awesome! and it was a good relaxing day away from the law school monotony.

only one excuse for a three week delay ...
Internet!
Ok, my other excuse is time. Our internet is now the school network and I haven't had much time to spend on the internet doing anything other than studying. So, I apologize to you all for a three week delay. I will try my best to keep up with the weekly blogs. We have a ton of new pictures of Sasha that I know you are all dying to see.
So, here you go. This is a picture post ... enjoy!

The stroller is actually Ava's stroller that she got for her one year birthday, along with the teddy bear. Sasha got a real kick out of pushing it around.
Sasha got a new dress that I call her "Strawberry Shortcake" dress even though it is roses and not strawberries. She has gotten tons of compliments on it. (I think it's going to her head - at least it might be going to her parents' heads as to how cute she is)

Sasha has been standing up quite a bit lately, but still no official steps without holding on to something.
Just in the last few days, Sasha has learned how to point at things she wants and she has come to the understanding that that is a better way of communicating to us as to her needs.

... And for all of you who thought I was
bluffing last time when I said that the dairy reaction did not seem to bother her - this picture proves how happy she was even though she was covered in a rash.
Until next time, hopefully next week.
